A Year Later – Let’s Get This Thing in Order

October 25th, 2009 Ryan No comments

ryanosullivan.ca has been my primary personal blog now for a year (Oct 25th, 2008 I installed word press on this domain) and it’s been really slow to come in to its own.

For a while I was using a theme that I really loved but it was out of date and wouldn’t work with many of wordpress’s bells and whistles. This limited my ability to add “cool shit” to the site and that hasn’t helped with my lack of inspiration to do much with this blog.

But enough of that – I’ve spent some time today trying to kick this blog back in to gear and if work doesn’t kill me first I’ll be making an effort to post here more often (and on adventuresoftaas.com as well!) – (Editor’s note: look, a blogger saying he’ll post more, how cute).

So welcome to ryanosullivan.ca year 2… I promise this year will be even more interesting then last, and that ain’t saying much…

Welcome to the New Site

As you’ve no doubt read over at rjoworld.com (my faithful blog location since 2000 (before there was such a thing as blogs) ) I have decided to break up my many interests between two new blog sites: ryanosullivan.ca (congrats – you found your way to at least one of em!) and adventuresoftaas.com.

I’ve been at a bit of a cross roads lately with rjoworld.com (as no doubt indicated by the total lack of posting). I want to write more about politics, I want to write more about the gaming business and actually playing games and I’ve also been trying to figure out how to get my personal thoughts on life and family down on blog-o-paper.

My solution was to break my blog in to two. ryanosullivan.ca for my personal, business and political thoughts (my serious side – har har) and adventuresoftaas.com for my gaming and games industry stuff.

I hope this also helps my friends, associates and family who I know read rjoworld.com and sometimes thought to themselves – what the hell does this possibly have to do with anything? Hopefully these changes help you find the bucket of my life that is most relevant to you and cater specifically to that need (or heck – even if you come to read about both parts of my life I hope this new system of blogging helps me get more focused).

So what happens to rjoworld.com? For the next few weeks it will be an archive for my previous posts. I hope by the end of November I’ve turned it in to an aggregator for both blogs and also a hub for the social networking services I use.

Viva La Revolucion or something.
